Rugby
Welcome to Rugby, a town of few firsts. It is also characterised by Victorian architecture. This market town in Warwickshire is the birthplace of both the Rugby football and the jet engine. It is said that William Webb Ellis invented the game around 1820's at Rugby School. In 1937 Frank Whittle built the first modern jet engine prototype. Today, its Victorian heritage still shows with mainly Victorian and early 20th century buildings in the landscape.
